We are now busier than ever thanks to such amazing customer support (Mahalo!), so we do recommend booking in advance, especially if you have a day or time preference. We find that morning flights tend to fill up about two or so weeks in advance. But if you are on island, and you like the weather, check our availability online or give us a call!

Kauai is beautiful all times of day, you really can’t go wrong!
Weather-wise, it is inconsistent. Sometimes the clouds roll in come the afternoon, sometimes they hang around in the morning and burn off by the afternoon. It really depends on what weather pattern we are in.
-
We do have rainy days out here-it wouldn’t the Garden Island without them! If weather is affecting visibility for the tour, we won’t fly. We do wait until the day of to make any weather calls, as forecasts do tend to be wrong a lot. The pilots keep a close eye on radar, and make the final call. If that happens, we try hard to work with you and reschedule if possible. If not, you will receive a full refund.
We do suggest booking earlier in your stay, so there will be a chance to reschedule if needed.
-
If we cancel your tour due to weather, you will be immediately refunded your full payment. We generally are the first tour operator to cancel, because we don’t want to make you pay to go up and see clouds.
-
There are many local options for transport. There are local taxi services and ride-share apps that will take you from the harbor to the airport. It is only a seven minute drive!
-
Passengers of all ages are welcome! If your little one is 3 or under, they do fly free. When booking, just book for the seats you are paying for, and send us an email or give us a call to add on your little one. We will need their name, age, and weight.
We do have ear protection and booster seats available for little ones.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any instructional’s or logged hours at this time. We do not have a CFI to run them. We are also unable to rent our airplanes out.
-
We try to limit the motion you will feel on the plane. We do our very best to keep the turns shallow and the motion to a minimum so that you can focus on the beautiful scenery and not have to worry. But there are windy days here, and that does create turbulence in the air. We try to avoid the more turbulent areas and to minimize turning as much as possible. You will not feel as much motion in a plane as you will on a boat — it’s more like a bus — but on a windy day, it is like a bus on a winding road. If you are motion sensitive in a car, this is similar.
-
If you are sensitive to motion in the car, then yes, take Dramamine or Bonine or whatever you would normally take on a boat tour. We do have ginger candies for everyone, and they do help settle the stomach a little bit.
-
The Airvan is a bit larger, so it will be more steady in high winds.
-
Most people have said they felt much worse on the helicopter because it has the additional motion of spinning and swooping added in, plus constantly turning your head as the heli spins.
-
It really is best to book directly with us, either using the online reservation system or calling us. We do have some great activity desks and concierges out here, but they all get a commission, so for the very best prices, I suggest going directly to the vendor. At least that is how it works for us!

The Cessna is a private tour for 2, sometimes 3, passengers. They fly the same tour route at the same speed, the difference is the privacy. If you want to have the pilot to yourselves and you want to make sure one of you is in the co-pilot seat, then the Cessna is for you. It’s cozy, and you really fit best if you are under 220 pounds.
The AirVan is our larger plane, it carries four to six passengers per flight. It a bit more spacious and comfortable in some ways, and the weight limit is much higher. The AirVan has large bubble windows so you can see all around and down a bit better. And sometimes it’s fun to be with another couple or party of three and enjoy the tour with them as well. Our pilots do a great job of including everyone into the conversation and making sure everyone has a great view.

If you are unable to park in the parking lot directly in front of our office, parking in the FEDEX parking lot is acceptable. Please ensure that you get a parking pass from one of our office workers before leaving your vehicle there unattended.

Yes, the name “Kauai” is sometimes mistakenly spelled as “Kawaii,” which is a common misspelling. Kauai is one of the major islands of Hawaii, known for its lush landscapes and scenic beauty. The term “kawaii” is a Japanese word meaning “cute” or “adorable,” which can cause confusion due to its similar pronunciation. However, Kauai is the correct spelling for the Hawaiian island.
